Delete your account and data

You can permanently delete your Kaya account and all the data we hold for it. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1 — Delete it in the app (instant)

Open Kaya and go to Profile / Settings → Delete account. Confirm, and your account and all associated server-side data are permanently removed straight away. No email or waiting required.

Option 2 — Request it by email

If you can't access the app, email support@kayalearn.sg from the address tied to your account, with the subject “Delete my Kaya account”. We verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in credentials
  • Your profile (name, email)
  • Your saved trips, learning progress, streaks, XP and stats
  • Any calendar-derived trip data linked to your account

All of this is removed permanently from our servers and cannot be recovered.

What stays / data we keep

We do not retain your personal data after deletion. Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you (for example, how often a phrase was rated helpful) are not linked to your account and may be retained. We may keep limited records strictly required by law (such as tax or transaction records for paid subscriptions) for the period the law requires.

If you never created an account

Kaya works without an account — in that case your progress lives only on your device, not on our servers. Simply uninstalling the app removes that on-device data.
